Austin Jana Austin
Doctor of Audiology

Jana Austin graduated with a B.A in Communications from Texas A&M in 2004 and received her doctorate in audiology from the University of North Texas in May of 2009. Dr. Austin is Board Certified in Audiology and a member of the Texas Academy of Audiology and the American Academy of Audiology. In May of 2008, she joined Allison Audiology as a doctoral intern and was hired as a full-time employee after graduation.  In March of 2010, Dr. Austin was hired by a leading hearing aid manufacturer to train fellow audiologists and dispensers how to better understand the complex relationship between hardware, software, and people in the hearing-impaired world.  While she enjoyed traveling throughout the United States and meeting fellow professionals, Dr. Austin returned to Allison Audiology in August of 2012 to pursue her favorite part of audiology: face-to-face patient care.

Besides spending time with her husband and three dogs, Dr. Austin is active in her community, working on home improvement projects, and fishing in just about any body of water. Keeping up with ever changing technology associated with the hearing industry proves quite a challenge, but she is gratified by the daily rewards that come from helping her patients remain connected to their loved ones and to the activities they enjoy.
